Rationed sells products and services that hark back to a bygone era just after the Second World War. A time when rationing was still in place and people were still being creative in feeding their families, decorating their homes and making clothes. Little treats like a square of floral fabric had a big impact and were vital to maintaining morale when time and money was still short. However, gradually dreams of future prosperity began to become a reality and people appreciated new colours in their homes and dress, new household gadgets, increased leisure time and a throw caution to the wind outlook
Established in a 1950s bungalow in Worcestershire (England), I create, alter and collect items that sum up this postwar time. I pride myself on strong aesthetics, beautiful finishes, quality sourcing and a witty sense of humour. And recalling the shopping customs of the post-war era, impeccable customer service!
